In general, it is very disappointing that the former leader of the team is fighting our team with such methods - spreading some letters based on gossip, then speculating about a person's suicide, etc. - this was stated by Levan Machavariani, a member of the Georgian Party of Otsi, in response to the latest letter spread by Irakli Gharibashvili.
According to him, what Gharibashvili is doing is “fighting the team with very bad methods”.
“No one from our team has made such a statement regarding agents. The only thing we are talking about is that it is a very bad coincidence that the narrative spread by Mr. Gharibashvili was quickly picked up by the opposition and they are speaking with exactly the same “message box”. I can't allege anything, it's just a very bad coincidence, and in general, it's very disappointing that the former leader of the team is fighting our team with such methods - that is, spreading some kind of letters based on gossip, then speculating with a person's suicide. It turned out that absolutely no one, including Mr. Gharibashvili, has any additional information, which was already known to the public and the investigation. Accordingly, this is a very bad method of fighting the team. And it's also very strange when Gharibashvili, after confessing to the crime says that he was innocent - of course, no one will believe this.
This is also a continuation of the narrative of those letters. He wants to cover up the crime for which he was charged.
We have seen many times, not only in Georgia, but in various countries, the choice of such methods from former politicians,” said Levan Machavariani.
For information, former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, sent a letter from Rustavi prison and accused the government of a “disgusting and tragic” masquerade. The ex-premier calls the investigation launched after one of his last letters, within the framework of which opposition politicians were questioned, frivolous. Gharibashvili appeals to the government not to use “ridiculous and poor” methods, because just as “water and oil do not mix,” it is impossible to connect him and the National Movement with each other. In the letter, Gharibashvili writes with irony about the reports related to him that he is an agent of the "deep state" and France, and notes: "I am "lucky" that I do not know other foreign languages, otherwise, they would probably have declared me an "agent" of other countries as well." In the letter, Gharibashvili again addresses his teammates that he is not fighting anyone and that they stabbed him in the back.
